Three differences that matter in India
- 1
AutoPay on UPI and cards, through your own gateway. Customers buy on StackBack's subscription checkout through your own Razorpay account, paying for the first delivery and setting up AutoPay on UPI or a card in one step. Every renewal after that is charged automatically, the money settles with you, and each one arrives in Shopify as a normal order.
- 2
Works with any checkout. StackBack is the only subscription platform that works with India's quick checkouts: GoKwik, Shopflo, Shiprocket Checkout, Razorpay Magic Checkout, Cashfree, FlexyPe and more. It's also the only Shopify-native platform where a prepaid or pay-as-you-go subscription is bought through Shopify checkout itself, like any other product, with whatever Indian payment gateway you've already connected. AutoPay is bought on StackBack's own subscription checkout through your Razorpay account, where the customer pays for the first delivery and sets up AutoPay in one step, with nothing extra to do.
- 3
More than subscriptions. Every type of bundle, build-your-own boxes, flash sales, upsells, one-click landing pages and a customer portal run on one platform. Our team takes you live in 2 days.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Shopify subscription apps work in India?
Apps that charge renewals on Indian payment rails. StackBack runs AutoPay on UPI and cards on its own subscription checkout, through your Razorpay account, and sells prepaid and pay-as-you-go plans through any checkout. Recharge, Appstle, Loop, Seal, Recurpay and Shopify Subscriptions renew through Shopify's subscription gateways, which aren't available to brands selling in India.
Why do global subscription apps struggle in India?
Shopify's subscription system charges renewals only through Shopify Payments, PayPal Express, Authorize.net, Adyen and Stripe. Shopify Payments isn't available in India, Stripe is invite-only for Indian businesses, and PayPal India can't receive domestic payments.
How do you keep these comparisons accurate?
Every fact comes from the other app's own App Store listing, pricing page or help centre, with the date we checked it. We re-check every page each quarter. If something has changed, tell us and we'll update the page.
